A 3 decade milestone celebration...
The Coimbatore Church of Christ marked a momentous occasion on April 27th, celebrating its 30th anniversary under the inspiring theme "God is Faithful." The celebration took place at Bishop Hall, near Town Hall in Coimbatore, bringing together disciples from across Tamil Nadu for this special milestone. Upon entering the venue, attendees were greeted by a remarkable display that told the story of the church's journey.
An Evening of Worship
Thanking Missionaries
A significant moment of the evening was dedicated to honoring the mission team members who planted the church in Coimbatore in 1995. These founding members were introduced by the Church Elders Siva Karpagam & Iruthayaraj Regina and presented with mementos by Guest in recognition of their pioneering work and vision.
Celebrating Good Samaritans
The celebration included the presentation of "Good Samaritan Awards" to four couples who have served the church with incredible sacrifice and hearts of true service. Both previous and present serving couples were honored for their unwavering faithfulness and dedication to the ministry.
Brother Paul, the special guest speaker, delivered the message that encouraged the congregation in their faith journey. The evening also featured a prayer & appreciation for those who have gone out for mission work from Coimbatore, with the congregation joining in prayer for these dedicated servants.
Current zone leaders were also blessed with prayer, acknowledging their ongoing commitment to shepherding the flock. In a touching gesture of appreciation, small gifts were presented to the older disciples of the church, recognizing their invaluable support through prayers and encouragement over the years.
Special thanks to John & Joel from New Jersey Church of Christ to visit and make us more Special by their presence. Their fellowship and encouragement to the Church that week was an incredible learning time. Grateful for their time.
A Night of Fellowship
The celebration concluded with thank you notes from the Church Elders, followed by an incredible time of fellowship where old friends reconnected and new relationships were formed. The evening included a Special meal served to all attendees, embodying the spirit of Christian fellowship and hospitality.
Reaching New Hearts
One of the most encouraging aspects of the celebration was the presence of nearly 150 new friends and families who joined the gathering. This significant attendance of newcomers reflects the church's ongoing mission to introduce people to Christ and expand God's kingdom in Coimbatore.
Looking Forward with Faith
As the Coimbatore Church of Christ reflects on 30 years of God's faithfulness, the celebration served not only as a time of thanksgiving for the past but also as a renewed commitment to the future. The church continues to focus on its primary goal: helping families come to know Christ and experience the transformative power of His love.
The anniversary celebration was a beautiful reminder that when we remain faithful to God's calling, He remains faithful to His promises. As the church enters its fourth decade of ministry, the theme "God is Faithful" continues to be both a declaration of His past goodness and a confident expectation for the years ahead.
